The first in a mediocre series of mysteries based on the popular radio program "Inner Sanctum." Chaney stars as a neurologist who hates his beautiful but unfaithful wife. Soon his wife's cut-up corpse is found and the good doctor becomes the main suspect. The only problem is that the
doctor himself isn't sure whether he committed the crime while in a fit of self-hypnotic jealousy or if he is indeed innocent. Enter super-sleuth Naish, who is determined to get to the bottom of the puzzling mystery. Though the suspense story is nothing special, the cast of competent character
actors and good, moody direction help the film move along at a tight pace.
