Calling Bulldog Drummond

This was the 22nd "Bulldog Drummond" film and Pidgeon was the twelfth of thirteen actors who portrayed Hector McNeil's famous character. A desperate gang robs a London store and escapes through the pea-soup fog by using radar equipment. Amateur sleuth Pidgeon comes out of retirement to nail the thieves. Scotland Yard assigns a female officer (Leighton) to assist him and they go under cover to get close to the brigands. Soon enough, Pidgeon is recognized and imprisoned in the basement of a bombed-out building (there still were plenty of those around England after the war).
