Call Me Genius: Review

This frequently funny film depicts Hancock leaving his boring office job and going to London to become an artist. Although his works are devoid of talent, he is adopted by an intellectual clique and becomes the rage. His roommate (Massie), who does show some talent as an artist but receives no recognition, becomes disgusted by Hancock's success and abandons London and his paintings. The paintings are seen by wealthy art connoisseur Sanders, who mistakes them for Hancock's work and arranges a show. Hancock's fame increases until finally he is overwhelmed by the magnitude of his deception and confesses that the paintings attributed to him were Massie's. He returns to obscurity and works diligently at his art, confident of his eventual recognition. leave a comment
