Minor romantic comedy that takes place entirely on the first day of spring and details the lives of a prosperous British family whose members have been gripped by "spring fever." Husband Roger Hilton (Ian Hunter), is almost seduced by a young actress(Marcia Ralston). His wife Dorothy (Frieda Inescort) nearly succumbs to the charms of a suave bachelor (Roland Young). Their daughter Catherine (Olivia de Havilland), tries to snare handsome artist Paul Francis (Walter Woolf King), but his wife (Peggy Wood), puts a stop to it. In the end the fever passes and everybody goes back to normal. Full of cliches and not particularly funny, notable primarily because this was the first film to top bill de Havilland. leave a comment
