Silly attempt to update the popular beach movies of the early 1960s starring Christopher (better known for his starring role in BREAKING AWAY) as a Chicago boy who travels to California's beaches in search of the good life. The midwesterner sticks out like a sore thumb among the bikinis and surfers, and his attempts to fit into their lifestyle fail until he realizes that their lives are more boring and empty than his. Christopher is somewhat appealing as the "city" boy. leave a comment
