Caddie

This dull Australian melodrama is set during the Depression and stars Morse as a Sydney barmaid who struggles to raise her two kids after her husband walks out. The film is filled with plenty of local flavor--pubs and townsfolk. One of the regular pub customers, Emmanuel, takes a liking to Morse and gives her a nickname that likens her to his stylish and classy car, a "Caddie." An awkward romance develops between the two. Emmanuel turns in a good performance, which outshines that of Morse.
