This tart psychological shocker may not pack the gut punch of In the Company of Men, Neil LaBute's blunt condemnation of corporate machismo, but writer-director Patrick Stettner's debut feature is a far more morally complex film. The always surprising Stockard Channing gives a terrific performance as a middle-aged VP who, while out of town on business, finds herself drinking a little too much with a disaffected assistant (Julia Stiles) in the hotel bar.
