A fish-out-of-water comedy that dumps former CITY SLICKER Daniel Stern into the great outdoors and dares him to find a gag that hasn't yet been done to death, BUSHWHACKED is predictable, crude and sentimental all at once. Stern, a delivery moron framed by a crooked businessman, spends
the film trying simultaneously to avoid a pair of tenacious federal agents and teach a motley litter of kids a bunch of hokey life lessons. The script jerks from scene to scene like a string of sketches, and if there's any debate about whether or not to see it, your degree of tolerance for Stern's
sad-sack mugging should be the deciding factor.
