Bunny Lake Is Missing

Lynley, a neurotic American woman living in London, is shocked to learn that her little daughter has disappeared. When she contacts the local constable with the information, he and Lynley find out that the girl never showed up at school that day. In fact, Massey, the headmistress of the school, can find no record that the girl had ever attended the school. Olivier, a wise Scotland Yard inspector trained in psychology, is assigned to the case and wonders if Lynley's "daughter" could be the product of an unstable mind.
