Rambling and unconvincing private-eye drama featuring Conway as a detective searching for a rare piece of jade. When the cops kill his last suspect in a shootout, the frustrated detective goes to a motel to relax and puzzle over the evidence. Suddenly the owner of the motel, Cady, is involved in the mystery and arrested for two murders.
