Bullet On A Wire

Cool over content is the name of the game, even though the one thing this willfully dingy little psycho-drama has going for it is an interesting premise. For no apparent reason, Raymond (Jeff Strong), an emotionally disturbed insurance salesman, calls the home of a young woman, Tanya (Lara Phillips), and tells her mother that not only is her daughter pregnant, she's HIV-positive as well. It's an inhumanly cruel practical joke, but the fall-out is no kind of joke at all: Tanya's abusive stepfather explodes when he gets wind of the news, prompting her to pull a gun and pump him full of holes.
