The best part of BUG is Charlie Fox's electronic music. If one could shut off the dialog and just listen to the music, it would be a neat album. Unfortunately, the actors keep talking. What they talk about is mutated cockroaches due to a quake at the center of the earth. The bugs come out,
eat carbon, travel around in cars, and hide out in tail pipes. Dillman is a scientist who loses his wife to the insects. He becomes a recluse midway through the story, and the film goes to sleep along with him. A few scary moments, but that's about it. Technical credits are good, actors are fair,
direction is mediocre, but the public squashed BUG.
