An adaptation of eccentric animal-lover Gertrude Lintz's (played engagingly by Rene Russo) memoir Animals Are My Hobby, which chronicles the willful, flapper-era heiress' attempts to raise a gaggle of animals -- notoriously intransigent chimpanzees included -- as though they were children.
