Brothers

Based on a true incident in which a number of Australian journalists were killed in 1975, this picture stars Hayward as an unpleasant brute who survives the bloodletting along with his brother (hence the title) Kants. Years later Kants, having settled down in a homey New Zealand town, is visited by Hayward, who is upset his brother's domesticicity. While trying to convince Kants to uproot himself, Hayward gets involved with a prostitute (Laurence), who attempts suicide when he drops her for Cluff, an attractive woman from the city.
