East does a fine job of transforming his wealthy character from the guy-you-love-to-hate to the guy-you-hate-to-love. This whodunit also features Pickles in the dual role of a prostitute who is murdered and her sister, who becomes involved with Dale. Believable characters and arresting
cinematography keep the film interesting.
