Warner, a hardened criminal, escapes from prison handcuffed to Cole, a frightened young kid in trouble for the first time in his life. They race across the countryside pursued by a never-ending manhunt. A fairly well made drama, it suffers from an unfortunately lengthy beginning and too much dialog. Once the story starts to move, however, it builds to a thrilling climax. Cole is particularly good as the younger of the pair, who finally cracks under pressure and surrenders. leave a comment
