If Israel needs a Mike Leigh to capture the angst of its silently suffering working class, it could do far worse than Nir Bergman, whose fine debut feature has made a strong showing on the festival circuit. Sixteen-year-old Maya Ullman (Maya Maron) dreams of becoming a singer. But just as she gets her big break, her family starts to break apart.
