Little Shirley Blake (Shirley Temple) finds herself the center of attention after her mother dies, when three people vie to become her new parent. These would-be parents include the fabulously wealthy Ned Smith (Charles Sellon); his niece, Adele Martin (Judith Allen); and adventurous
flyboy Loop Merritt (James Dunn), who was the little girl's father's friend. The always-cute Temple skips through a series of adventures with each until the parental question is happily resolved. An endearing film that features Temple's classic rendition of "On the Good Ship Lollipop."
