The Bride Goes Wild

New England school teacher, Allyson, an aspiring commercial artist, wins a job illustrating the new book by a popular children's author known as "Uncle Bump." Upon arrival in New York she learns that "Uncle Bump" is Johnson, a hard-drinking, child-hating young writer. Feeling that Johnson has betrayed children everywhere, Allyson threatens to expose him to the public. Seeing thousands of dollars flying out the window, Johnson's publisher friend, Cronyn, convinces Allyson that Johnson's attitude and habits are the result of his wife's death and current problems with their hostile son. Allyson swallows the fictitious story, but insists upon helping the troubled widow...
