Suave Guizar, a South American songwriter, having had initial success with the tune "Brazil," is in a desperate struggle to come up with a follow-up hit. His melody-making is interrupted when he takes it upon himself to convince the pretty Bruce of his abilities as a Latin Lover, the girl having just written a popular book that shatters the myth of the hot-blooded macho hombre. Although the jealous Horton tries to tell Bruce that Guizar is just toying with her, the two stubborn lovers finally realize that they do indeed love each other.
