Overloaded New England soap-opera supposedly about a mercy killing, but the film becomes too embroiled in the sex lives of its characters to do the serious euthanasia subject justice. Burton plays the doctor who returns to his hometown to care for friend Drake who is dying of Hodgkin's Disease.
