The Boy From Oklahoma

Rogers, a mild-mannered fellow studying law in the Old West, drifts into a small town where tyrannical outlaw boss Caruso rules with an iron hand. Irritated by Caruso's corruption, Rogers agrees to act as sheriff and rounds up the desperado gang using only his lariat and his faith in the Lord. This easy-going, impossible-to-dislike western shows the triumph of good over selfishness and violence. Rogers isn't the equal of his father--whose wit set a standard that few could come close to--but he manages to convey the same simple virtues and calm manner that made Will, Sr., a national icon.
