Out Of Bounds: Review

In this unbelievably stupid crime film, Daryl Cage (Anthony Michael Hall) is a lonely Iowa farmboy who is sent on a trip to visit his older brother in Los Angeles while his parents attempt a trial separation. At the airport in LA, Daryl's brother accidentally picks up the wrong duffel bag from the luggage carousel and unwittingly throws a fortune in heroin into the back of his pickup truck. The drug smuggler, Roy Gaddis (Jeff Kober), immediately realizes the mistake and manages to spot the license plate of the truck before it speeds off. It's hard to believe just how mind-numbingly moronic this film is. The script gives Hall and the other cast members so many foolish things to say and do that the viewer is left wishing that they would all kill each other early on and save us the pain of having to watch the rest of the film. Director Richard Tuggle mishandles every task assigned him here, though to be fair, the script is atrocious and the cast is less than exemplary. leave a comment
