Long before the teeny-tiny heroes of Honey I Shrunk the Kids, there were the Borrowers, a family of little red-headed people who live beneath the floorboards of an old house and "borrow" the necessities of life from their unsuspecting human hosts. Painstaking attention has been lavished on the this fanciful adaptation of Mary Norton's children's book, and while older kids may rebel against the film's gentle tone, youngsters should get a kick out of it.
