Brown is a respected rancher courting Hunt. When his black-sheep cousin, Wayne, drifts in, Brown gives him a job as trail boss, and Wayne thanks him by stealing Hunt. On the drive, rustlers try to steal the herd but Wayne outwits them. Then, in town, the rustlers try to cheat Wayne out
of money with a rigged deck, but Brown exposes them, and the pair, now reconciled, shoot it out with the villains. This film was a remake of a 1926 silent. Alan Ladd had a small role, well before his starring exposure in THIS GUN FOR HIRE (1942). The film was later reissued, with added outdoor
footage, to take advantage of the growing popularity of both Wayne and Ladd.
