Born In Flames

After a revolution in the US, another revolution begins in a futuristic New York City among disenchanted party officials, the women's army, and guerrillas. As in THE TERMINATOR, the underground party has developed following the death of its leader, Adelaide (Jeanne Satterfield), who died in a detention cell after laying the groundwork for eliminating the new establishment. An explosion at the World Trade Center is outstanding for close-up images. This feminist film wins laurels for close attention to detail in a radical filmmaking effort.
