A woman has filed a lawsuit against Sacha Baron Cohen and NBC Universal over an incident involving the comedian's new film, Brüno.

Richelle Olson claims she was injured at a charity bingo tournament in a skirmish with Cohen and his film crew, the Associated Press reports. Her suit says that she needs a wheelchair and a cane for mobility, and seeks unspecified damages of more than $25,000.

• Martin Scorsese and The Departed cast member Mark Wahlberg are exec-producing an HBO drama series based on Nelson Johnson's book Boardwalk Empire, about the development of Atlantic City.• Borat director Larry Charles is returning to broadcast television, having inked a two-and-a-half year, mid-seven-figure deal with ABC Television Studio. Charles, whose recent TV credits include Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm, will write and direct a range of projects, including scripted and "hybrid" (gas-electric?) comedies, and possibly even animation. read more

News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch tells the Financial Times that 20th Century Fox has signed Sacha Baron Cohen to reprise his role as Kazakhstan reporter Borat Sagdiyev for a follow-up to the popular and controversial Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. L.A. Film Critics: Eastwood's Letters Gets an A

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association has picked Clint Eastwood's second WWII-themed release, Letters from Iwo Jima (in theaters Dec. 20), as the best movie of the year, while The Queen took five honors, including best actress for Helen Mirren and best director for Stephen Frears. Also on Sunday, the American Film Institute unveiled its 10 Best list. On it were, natch, Letters, Dreamgirls, United 93 and Borat. (What? No Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny?)
