French actor Guitry finally ceased his long-standing opposition to the cinema by writing, directing, and starring (along with his wife, Delubac) in this story of a man who wins the French national lottery and goes on a vacation with the woman who gave him half her ticket, despite the
fact that she is to be married to another. Direction shows stage origins of Guitry, but his personal charm carries the day.
