9:30 am: One of my favorite Fox press-tour traditions lives on: snack-filled goody bags for everyone!9:36 am: Fox's VP of PR Joe Earley announces that this will be the "eco-friendliest TCA day" of them all. Screw the green crap, those recyclable goody bags contain peanut-butter pretzels! 9:37 am: Fox chairman Peter Liguori and newly elected president (and recently dethroned Peacock chief) Kevin Reilly take their seats on stage and jump right into the Q&A. 9:38 am: Drinking-game alert: Take a shot every time Liguori starts a sentence with one of the following: "First and foremost," "Look... " or "Again... "9:39 am: On making next season's president on 24 a woman, Liguori says "decisions are made consistently to always reinvigorate the franchise. [Producers] consistently go after bold ideas to keep the show fresh."9:40 am: Reilly, discussing his rapid move from NBC to Fox, says, "It didn't take a lot of convincing to realize this was going to be an incredible opportunity." 9:42 ...

Question: Thanks to a Fox marketing push, I was able to see the premiere episodes of many Fox shows. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Justice. I was initially interested in it only because of Victor Garber, but I ended up liking the show overall. But here's my concern: Is there really room for yet another crime/law drama like this? I know people have been asking about CSI and Law & Order oversaturation for years. But can a new show that isn't part of a franchise, and that doesn't air on CBS, make it?
Answer: I would be more worried about Justice's chances if shows like House and Bones hadn't caught on earlier. There is clearly an audience on Fox, no doubt primed by the breakthrough success of 24, for more grown-up shows in the legal/crime (or in House's case, medical) arenas. The fact that Hugh Laurie is a Fox superstar is also a sign that a more mature actor (say, Victor Garber) can find a happy home on this network. There's no question there are too many crime and courtroom shows

Question: Come on, you have to give me some scoop on Bones!
Answer: Here are two scoopbits: In next week's season premiere, the dude who was believed to have killed Bones' mother gets murdered in prison. Also, Bones will learn something surprising about her dad when she pays a visit to her mother's grave.

Bones' David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel
When TVGuide.com caught up with David Boreanaz at last year's Comic-Con, he had just shot the pilot for the Fox series Bones and was scheduled to film the next batch of episodes as soon as he got back to L.A. At that point, no one had any idea how the show would fare in the ratings. What a difference a year makes. Returning to San Diego a few weeks ago, the former angsty vampire was all smiles, secure in the knowledge that his character, FBI agent Seeley Booth, would be solving forensic crimes opposite Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) for another season. After appearing at a Bones panel disc

Question: I know it's still summer, but have the networks announced tentative dates for their season premieres?
Answer: As of now, the only network not to announce premiere dates is CBS, which will likely launch most of its new and returning shows the weeks of Sept. 17 and 24.
Here's how the others shape up: The season kicks off early on Fox, with Prison Break and Vanished on Aug. 21; then the limited reality series Duets on Aug. 29; Justice and Bones on Aug. 30; House and Standoff on Sept. 5; the comedies 'Til Death and Happy Hour on Sept 7; Nanny 911 on Sept. 8; Cops and America's Most Wanted on Sept. 9; Fox's animated comedy lineup plus The War at Home on Sept. 10; and MADtv Sept. 16. (The O.C. won't return until after postseason baseball on Nov. 2.)
On ABC, 20/20 officially kicks off Sept. 8; Dancing with the Stars returns Sept. 12 and 13; Wife Swap premieres Sept. 18; Grey's Anatomy and Six Degrees on Sept. 21; Ugly Betty and Men in Trees on Sept. 22; Extreme Makeover: Home

Question: Do we know yet which actress is going to play Bones and Brennan's sexy new boss, Dr. Camille Saroyan, on Bones? Answer: Yes! The role has gone to the lovely Tamara Taylor. Lost fans know her as Walt's mom, but TT also had recurring gigs on NCIS, Party of Five and Dawson's Creek. She also was one of the few reasons to watch UPN's short-lived

Question: How about some Bones spoilers for a change?
Answer: The show's second-season premiere on Aug. 30 will revolve around a deadly train collision and mark the introduction of Booth and Bones' new boss lady, Dr. Camille Saroyan. I use "new" loosely, since we learn that both of them have worked with "Cam" before — and at least one of them is not happy to see her.
