Bomba The Jungle Boy

Johnny Sheffield, fresh from playing Boy in the "Tarzan" series, was immediately dropped into another serial as Bomba the Jungle Boy. In this, the first of the series, photographer George Harland (Onslow Stevens) journeys to the Dark Continent with his daughter (Peggy Ann Garner). They encounter Bomba, and when the daughter becomes lost, it's Bomba who finds her and brings her back to her party, despite locust plagues, jungle fires, and dangerous animals. Though hardly a classic, the "Bomba" series did offer some entertaining adventure yarns, and this was the best of the lot.
