First, the good news: DROP DEAD FRED is still the ghastliest invisible friend movie ever made. But only just. Albert (Haley Joel Osment) is an orphaned youngster whose mom (Nancy Travis) was a showgirl with the magic act of pretentious French illusionist Monsieur Antoine (Denis Mercier).
