Not to be confused with the 1947 BODY AND SOUL, this disastrous remake is five minutes longer than the original and has as much drama in it as a worn piece of linoleum. The best thing about the movie is Muhammad Ali, who shows, in his extremely limited screen time, just why he is without
question the Greatest. Ali, with no training, is a far better player than writer-actor Leon Isaac Kennedy (PENITENTIARY), who plays a medical student-turned-prizefighter. Gorgeous Jayne Kennedy also proves herself to be a better actor than her then-husband; however, that can be said of just about
everyone else in this film, with the possible exception of Peter Lawford as a mobster.
