Into The Blue: Review

A shallow, gorgeous, lightened-and-brightened rehash of The Deep, this voyeuristic thriller contains just enough twists that you don't have to feel completely guilty for enjoying it. Sun- and surf-loving Sam (Jessica Alba) and Jared (Paul Walker) are just scraping by on their low-level jobs in the Bahamian tourist industry when they run across what may be some vaulable sunken treasure, and run afoul some very bad people. Alias' David Anders Details His Adventure Into the Blue | DVD News | 4/21/2009
In Into the Blue 2: The Reef, a made-for-unrated-DVD sequel streeting this week, Laura Vandervoort (Smallville) and Chris Carmack (The O.C.) pick up where Jessica Alba and Paul Walker left off, playing young lovers whose diving business gets them into trouble as deep as the water. Alias alum David Anders, who plays a cash-flashing client with an ulterior motive, gave us a peek at the pretty-to-look-at drama.

TVGuide.com: Working alongside a bikini-clad Laura Vandervoort, Marsha Thomason and Audrina Patridge (The Hills).... How did you do it, man? Was there hazard pay?

According to papers obtained by TheSmokingGun.com, Jessica Alba is threatening to sue Playboy for using a bikini-clad photo of her — from the movie Into the Blue and obtained in an "outrageous, unethical" manner from Columbia Pictures — on its March cover, thus making it appear that she is featured in a "nude or semi-nude pictorial." Arguing that the cover has caused the actress "immeasurable harm," Alba's lawyers demand that Playboy cease distributing the issue and tender a monetary settlement for the image's unauthorized use. read more
