Blue Skies Again

A baseball movie in the tradition of IT HAPPENS EVERY SPRING and ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD--which is to say you'd better be willing to suspend your disbelief from the opening pitch--BLUE SKIES AGAIN is a light comedy about a female second baseman's assault on the major league's gender barrier. Its implausibility, however, stems less from the attempt by softball player Paula Frakin (Robyn Barto) to make a big league roster than from the ludicrously contrived spring training camp and baseball environment the film presents.
