BLUE DENIM was the first of many troubled-teenager films and certainly one of the best. Lynley gets pregnant by de Wilde (only six years after he was such an innocent tyke in SHANE) and can't bring herself to tell her father (Taylor). De Wilde has very little in common with his selfish parents, Hunt and Carey, so he's not able to let them know how he feels about being a teenage father.
