Cruz, in this sequel to ARANAS INFERNALES (1966), reprises his role as the grotesquely masked wrestler, The Blue Demon. This time he's fighting an evil doctor who's stealing intelligence from scientists. The doctor is assisted by a band of female zombies. This film was followed in turn by two other sequels, SANTO Y BLUE DEMON CONTRA LOS MONSTRUOS and SANTO CONTRA BLUE DEMON EN LA ATLANTIDA, both released in 1968. Director Urueta was famous for his nudie and wrestling pictures, but also dabbled in fantasy and horror films.
