The high school foursome of Dean (Michael Stone), Whitney (Tracy Pacheco), Jason (Justin Martin) and Julie (Jessica Morris) are looking forward to a carefree summer as counselors at Camp Placid Pines. Their idyll is abruptly shattered, however, when Jason disappears soon after cheating on his girlfriend Julie with Whitney. The rumor immediately circulates that Jason's disappearance is somehow connected to the legend of Trevor Moorehouse, a chainsaw-wielding maniac reputed to inhabit the local woods. Years ago, Bill Anderson, the father of present-day camp instructor Drew Anderson (Christelle Ford), was brutally slain by a young camper who, neglected by his custodians, nearly drowned in the nearby lake. And now, it appears that Trevor or some other madman is seeking revenge against a new generation of hapless teens. This generic FRIDAY THE 13TH rip-off is the very model of anonymous filmmaking. The cast of hearty screamers does little to dispel the audience's deja vu, as horny teens pay for their raging hormones with their lives. The film fails to make the slaying of Drew's father the seminal event it should be, nor will anyone who's ever seen one of these body count flicks have any trouble unmasking the killer. But more importantly, does anyone still get a charge out of watching young adults get butchered? leave a comment --Robert Pardi
