For dance lovers only. Much-touted meeting of filmmaker Carlos Saura, choreographer Antonio Gades, and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca has been often overly received. BLOOD WEDDING opens backstage as the dancers pour in, open their makeup cases, fix their hair, and apply their greasepaint. Some time later, Gades and his troupe move out into their rehearsal space and begin practicing their flamenco version of Garcia Lorca's play. The film runs an economical 72 minutes. leave a comment
