This tough flag-waver set in the late 1920s focuses on worldly newspaper editor Nick Condon (James Cagney) of the American-owned Tokyo Chronicle, who prints a controversial story by reporter Ollie Miller (Wallace Ford) and his wife, Edith (Rosemary DeCamp).
