Blood In The Streets

BLOOD IN THE STREETS is one of those titles that someone felt sure would have hemophiliacs and vampires lining up at the box office. The original name of the film was THE REVOLVER and must have been altered because of the Link-Levinson film THE GUN. This tawdry melodrama is about Belli, Reed's wife, being kidnaped. Rees, a prison official, releases Testi from jail in order to secure his wife's freedom, but the kidnapers want Testi dead. Reed and Testi team up to foil the villains. The fun is in the secondary characters who pop up while the primary people are in the midst of a chase. Some very well done sidebar cameos--too bad the filmmakers didn't pay the same atte...
