Feminist genre filmmaker Stephanie Rothman made her directorial debut when executive producer Roger Corman pulled Jack Hill off this project. She was given Hill's footage and parts of a Yugoslavian espionage film Corman had picked up somewhere, and told to shoot just enough to make a
feature out of it. Not surprisingly, the end result is a mess.
