BLONDIE HITS THE JACKPOT was the 27th film in the 28-film series, and by the time they got to this one, it had been more than 13 years since the series began and everyone may have been getting tired. Lake's in a fix again; he's been fired for the umpteenth time and he has to get his job back at all costs. He makes a mistake in a construction deal and winds up on a hard-working labor gang. Not a very good example of the series. Lloyd Corrigan (who plays Hutchins) was better served by the scripts for GHOST BREAKERS; YOUNG TOM EDISON; and CYRANO DE BERGERAC.
