Clark wakes up with blood on his clothes and booze on his breath and has no idea what happened. He then loses his new bride (Lee), learns that his father-in-law is dead, and one complication piles onto another until the whole film is a mish-mash and you no longer care. Landau, a good writer who, years later, supplied the idea for THE BLACK HOLE (with Bob Barbash), fails to adapt the Neilsen novel with the required directness.
