Jimmy (Bokeem Woodbine) is a hapless scam artist who, along with his best friend, a low-rent boxer and chronic masturbator named Luther (Justin Pierce), gets into big time debt to a wheelchair-bound loan shark named Victor (Erik Todd Dellums). Hitting on a plan to blackmail a wealthy surgeon named William (Roger Rees), Jimmy and Luther lure William and Jimmy's girlfriend Heather (Sascha Knopf) to the doctor's mansion, videotape the two of them having sex, and then demand $25,000 in cash. Unfortunately the doctor turns out to be a crack-smoking serial killer and suddenly Jimmy and Luther have the loan shark and the police after them. Directed by George and Mike Baluzy from the Quentin Tarantino School of Pulp Cinema, there's lots of cartoonish violence and stabs at dark humor, but much of it feels forced and re-fried. The classically trained Rees, however, is a gas as the loony psycho. The scene in which he shoots golf balls at his bound-and-gagged victims while smoking a Hugh Hefner pipe filled with crack is quite funny, as is the sight of Bokeem Woodbine disguised in a wig and old lady pajamas. leave a comment --Dennis Dermody
