The Black Knight

Given the presence of Arthur, Guinevere, Prince Hal, et al., this film must have been intended as a serious look at British history. Somewhere along the way, the movie got out of hand and it is almost as funny as START THE REVOLUTION WITHOUT ME, although surely not intended to be. Ladd is a "swordsmith" who is in love with Medina, daughter of earl Andrews. That romance will never do, however, because the caste system is far too rigid to allow a commoner to wed a lady. Ladd sets out to prove himself worthy and, with the help of Morell, strives to become a knight.
