In his first starring role after 46 appearances in the movies, Quinn plays a kindly Indian who one day finds an orphaned Chinese boy, Louie, and his horse. Quinn and his wife adopt the boy and mate his horse with their mare. Quinn falls in with an unscrupulous horse manager, Olsen, who
talks him into entering the mare in a race. The horse wins, but Olsen shafts Quinn by grabbing the mare for $500 on a technicality. Quinn and his friend Hatton steal the horse back, leaving the $500 in the stable. Soon afterwards, oil is struck on Quinn's property and the mare gives birth to a
