Bogus Karloff/Lugosi film in which the two horror stars have no scenes together, and the main character is actually a third actor, Ridges. Karloff plays a doctor who tries to save the life of his good friend Ridges, a college professor, who has sustained a potentially fatal injury to the skull in a car crash caused by gangsters. One of the gangsters was also killed in the crash, and Karloff attempts to put a piece of the dead hood's brain into the head of Ridges and save his life.
