A sensitive and compelling film that nobody went to see. Perhaps it was the title and the fact that there were no big names on the marquee, whatever. McClung is a "city cousin" who comes to Amish country to live with relatives Torn and Albert. Radnitz has made a career of doing intelligent, but seldom seen, movies. In the past he's produced SOUNDER, ISLAND OF THE BLUE DOLPHINS, A DOG OF FLANDERS, and others, none of which has been terrically successful.
