A genetically-altered monstrosity goes on a spawning rampage, threatening the country with the hideous consequences of mutant interbreeding. Fortunately for America, the incredibly twisted plot ends with the monster's high-voltage termination, as well as various suitable deaths for sundry
villains.
Murky mutant misdeeds are being sanctioned at Triton Industries by gene king Brady (Christopher Mitchum). Paid by Brady to track down human breeding specimens, trigger-happy enforcer Quint (Tom Ferguson) guns down a lab subject papa (Paul Austin Sanders), lets a mother (Rebecca Wicks) expire after
giving birth, but fails to capture their half-human progeny.
The mutant baby achieves maturation, munches on several human guinea pigs who have been injected with specialized DNA, and then alters his feeding frenzy to find a mate. By the time Triton employees have become fair game for the creature's thirst for spinal fluid, ex-Triton security chief Mike
Reardon (Steve Zurk) is already prying into Brady's Project Lucy. Reardon teams up with gene specialist Dr. Lynch (Patrick Moran), who suffers acromegalic side effects from his donor participation in the project.
En route to rescuing monster mate prospect Caitlan Palmer (Dorothy Best) from an unforgettable one-night stand, Reardon and friends are outfoxed by Quint, who kidnaps Palmer's son (Ryan Latshaw). At the lab honeymoon suite, Lynch unbinds Palmer, then Lynch sacrifices himself while electrocuting
the beast. Brady helicopters away from his failed experiment, but Reardon shoots the pilot, and the whirlybird crashes on Quint.
Unfortunately, right through this failed experiment in terror, no one ever feels the bio-stud has a chance of colonizing the USA. With an amateurish cast, devoid of editing rhythms, gratuitously graphic, and badly written, BIOHAZARD is more of a filmed casualty list than a polished chiller.
