BINGO BONGO is the Italian version of TARZAN but played for laughs, which is, perhaps, the way the latest Tarzan
should have been played. Celentano, an enormously popular actor and singer in Italy, essays the title role, a man who grew up with monkeys, is captured in the jungle, and is
hauled back to civilization. Laura, an attractive anthropologist, teaches him to talk, the correct way to eat pasta, and how to fall in love. He does just that, but she doesn't think it's a good idea. How does she introduce her parents to her in-laws, a pair of orangutans? Lots of laughs in this
good, clean comedy appropriate for children.
